  1. How long time does it take before any songs are saved?

  2. It takes around 24 h before PopCatcher has learned the radio station and can begin to record songs.

  3. I have turned on The Ripper but no songs are saved?

  4. The Ripper first has to learn a radio station. Tune in to a station and it will start recording songs after around 24 h. To record songs, the Ripper has to be in Time or Radio mode.

  5. Does the radio need to be on to record songs?

  6. No, it records in the silent time mode as well.

  7. Can the same song be recorded several times?

  8. The songs are normally only recorded once.

  9. How many songs do I get?

  10. It depends on how many songs that are played on the radio station, usually between 15 and 30 per day. Remember that the songs will only be recorded once.

  11. For how long does The Ripper save the music?

  12. Until the memory is full, then the first recorded song will be replaced by a new.

  13. I want to be able to save more than 40 songs. How do I do?

  14. Dock an MP3 player, music mobile or a memory card and the music will be saved on that instead of the internal memory.

  15. If i pull the plug or shut of the power to the Ripper, will it forget all the songs in the internal memory?

  16. No, it remembers them.

  18. The Ripper remembers a station for 2-3 days. After 3 days of listening to new radio station(s) it will have forgotten all of the previous station but learnt the new station without you touching any button.

  19. Can I delete songs from the Ripper?

  20. Yes. When you listen to a song, press down the FM/TIME/MP3 button until it says DEL in the display. Press again to confirm.

  21. I think that track number 14 on my Ripper is really good but it disappeared after a while. How do I do to keep it?

  22. Dock an MP3 player, music mobile or a memory card and all the music will be copied to it.

  23. What happens to the songs in The Ripper when I transfer the songs to an MP3 player or a USB stick?

  24. The songs stay in The Ripper since they are copied to the external memory.

  25. Can I get information about an artist, name of the song or an album etc?

  26. Unfortunately not over the radio, as the FM broadcast does not contain that information. The songs are given date, track number and the radio station it’s recorded from.

  27. Is The Ripper compatible with all MP3 players?

  28. Most, but not all, see”Supported products list”. Available under "downloads".

  29. What do I do if I can’t transfer the songs from The Ripper to my mobile?

  30. Check that your mobile is on the “supported products list”. If it still doesn’t work, try with a memory card or similar, which communicates with the mobile.

  31. It sometimes says ”full” in the display when I dock my mobile, what does that mean?

  32. It means that the memory card or the phone's internal memory is full.

  33. How do I know that the copying from The Ripper to the internal memory is done?

  34. You will se DONE in the display and the counter stops counting songs. COPY disappears from the display and the red lamps stops blinking.

  35. How long does it take to transfer the songs?

  36. One to five minutes, depending on the number of songs you are transferring.

  37. What is the background noise I here in the songs?

  38. It is probably the antenna that is not tuned in correctly, so you get a bad reception.

  39. Can I connect an external antenna if I don’t want to use the build in one?

  40. Yes, 7.5 mm koaxial antenna cable on the back.

  41. Where can I buy The Ripper?

  45. Is it legal to save music with the PopCatcher technology?

  46. Yes, just as legal as recording on a tape.

  47. Is The Ripper a Swedish product?

  48. The technology comes from a Swedish company, which produces the product in a factory in China.
